- Go back to the last room or object you interacted with and try again from a better position.
How a Normal Shift Usually Works
Most of Dead Plate runs on a simple service rhythm. If that rhythm breaks, the story usually stops with it.
- Approach the current guest or table and finish the immediate interaction.
- Take the order and carry it through the next required work step.
- Serve food, collect payment, and clear the table properly.
- Remove trash or check side objects if the day still will not move forward.
- Only expect the next story beat after the current work state is fully cleared.

Slow down around doors, tables, and workstations. It is easy to stand near the right place without standing in the exact spot that actually triggers the interaction.

- You need to re-enter a nearby room or check an object again before the next beat starts.
How to Avoid Missing the Later Endings
Dead Plate has four endings, and the later ones do not unlock automatically just because you reached the last day. If you want more than the default route, you need to start paying attention well before the finale.
- There is a default outcome if you miss the setup for the later branch.
- The key split starts with a phone event on the night of Day 6.
- To get that event, pay attention to Day 3 trash handling and important interactions on Days 4 and 5.
- On the last day, the result can also change depending on whether you have matches and how later action prompts play out.
If you are replaying for endings, do not only focus on Day 7. Start watching your choices from Day 3 onward.
